Week 6. Paint Fumes, Website Graphics and Doctor Who Scarves . . .

My girlfriend Amanda and I are still plodding along with the decorating and de-cluttering of my house. She has worked her little tush off and managed to get most of the walls painted in the house – no easy task either especially when you consider some of the colours we had to cover up – lime green (my dear old mum loved her colours) to mild cream in 3 coats – phew!! Now I’m at the glossing stage (wow it’s strong stuff) and have perfected a pretty nifty steady hand that even Michelangelo would have been proud of 🙂

This week I took delivery of a most coveted possession – a replica Doctor Who scarf. Any fans of Tom Baker will know what it means to own a replica of the scarf he wore in the TV series. As a kid I used to make my own out of any old scarves lying around the house. After each episode of Doctor Who I’d rush around the house like some mad thing gathering up scarves and taping them together to make one long one and this together with my dads trilby served as my Doctor Who costume.

Doctor Who Scarf

Finally, after months of searching for a decent replica scarf I found a lovely lady called Lois who knits them on ebay, and as you can see a fabulous job she’s done too.

As for the John Thornhill coaching, I had some fabulous new graphics made for my website which I’m really pleased with, I’ll be re-constructing my Sleep Paralysis website over the next few weeks using the graphics and it should look amazing. Only one video for us to digest this time just giving tips on creating the ebook etc. Most of this I already knew having created my own ebook last year. I must say I found the whole experience of researching my subject and creating the ebook using Microsoft Word a most enjoyable one – it didn’t feel like work at all in fact. I found that starting was the hardest part but once I’d gotten into it it became easier and fun too.

We’re already at week 7 now and I’ve just downloaded the videos for this. In my next post I’ll go into them in more detail.

Right, it’s a bit chilly in here, I’m off to get wrapped up in mi scarf, BFN 🙂

Would you be willing to share the Ebay ID of the seller from whom you bought the scarf please? I am wanting to buy one for my friend, who is about to finish his PhD.

    Many thanks.

I am noobie on blog and have recently created my own blog and today I am trying to study as much as possible about this short of thing. I truly like your blog layout, may I know what template is this? Is it custom layout or is that paid one? But I can’t afford to buy paid design nor have the ability to custom design myself. Sorry for this newbie question, thanks.

      Hello Ester

I can’t remeber exactly where I got this blog theme from but it was a free one.

If you type in ‘free wordpress themes’ into Google then you’ll get lots of choices for free themes – some of them are really gorgeous.
